How to Use This

1

Add Your Recipients

Start by adding everyone you send cards to. Include their name, address, and the occasions you send for (like Christmas, birthday, or thank-you). You can add as many occasions as you need for each person.

2

Log Cards as You Send

When you mail a card, mark it sent in the history view. Add the date and any notes. This builds your record so you can see at a glance who you have already sent to this year.

3

Check Who Is Due

The dashboard shows you who is due for a card based on your past sending patterns. If you sent someone a Christmas card last year but not yet this year, they will show up as due.

4

Export When Ready

When it is time to address envelopes, print your address list or export your data. Everything formats cleanly for printing.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Forgetting to log sent cards. Make it a habit to mark cards as sent right after you mail them. If you wait, you might send duplicates or skip someone by accident.
  • Not updating addresses. People move. When you get a change-of-address note, update it right away so your list stays current.
  • Waiting until the last minute. Start checking who is due a few weeks before the holiday. This gives you time to buy cards, write personal notes, and mail them early.

Tips for Staying Organized

  • Add new recipients right after you send your first card to them. Do not try to remember who to add later.
  • Use the notes field to remember details like "prefers religious cards" or "has a dog named Max." These small touches matter.
  • Export and save a backup copy once a year. While your data stays in your browser, having a backup gives you peace of mind.

How This Works

All your data is stored in your browser using local storage. Nothing gets sent to a server. This means your addresses stay private, but it also means your data will not sync across devices. If you clear your browser data, your list will be gone. That is why we recommend exporting a backup once in a while.

The "due for cards" feature looks at your sending history. If you sent someone a card for a specific occasion last year but have not logged one this year, they will appear as due. It is a simple check, not a prediction. You are always in control of who to send to.
